The Super Tuscans - 1996 Vintage

Rather cool weather in the early spring of 1996 delayed budding slightly, but rising temperatures ensured good flowering and balanced fruit. Towards the second half of August, some grapes were harvested green, leaving only the best clusters on the vines. These ripened perfectly and were harvested around the normal time. The 1996 harvest was exceptional, and every grape possessed the full range of aromatics characteristic of its varietal.
