For amateurs and professionals alike, the names Richebourg, La Tâche and La Romanée Conti represent the quintessence of Burgundian Grand Cru wines. This prestigious property of 8 hectares is subdivided into 10 lots, with 3.5 hectares of the total vineyard operated by Domaine de la Romanée Conti. According to history, the wines of Richebourg were highly prized by the Church. In fact, monks at L'Abbaye de Citeaux were among the first to recognize the excellent winegrowing potential of the soil here. The combination of a layer of limestone over a substratum with a higher concentration of clay provides ideal conditions for producing wines with excellent ageing potential.
